“Russia’s refusal to bend the knee and its rebellion against the West sent a signal to the world that the US and EU are no longer able to use sanctions as a threat to achieve their goals,” he wrote.
Ritter added that NATO countries are using Ukraine to wage a proxy war with Russia by training their military and passing on military equipment and intelligence.
Earlier, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said that the United States and NATO are waging a proxy war against Russia with the help of Ukraine.
He also said that the ultimate goals of the sanctions against Russia are not clear to him.
