Statistics Sweden has looked at what it looks like for those who graduated from upper secondary school in the spring of 2017. Just under 25 percent started a university education within a year.
But within five years, roughly 50 percent had started higher education.
After five years, this large percentage in Östergötland and on Gotland had started university studies:
Linköping – 60.8 percent
Norrköping – 53.2 percent
Mjölby – 47.3 percent
Fine shavings – 46.3 percent
Gotland – 44.8 percent
Motala – 43.0 percent
Åtvidaberg – 41.0 percent
Please note that only municipalities with 100 or more who graduated from upper secondary school are included.
