Blekinge museum had 75,522 physical visitors to exhibitions, facilities, programs and activities in 2022. This means a clear increase from the 46,827 visitors who came in 2021.
Cruise tourists contribute
According to the new county museum director Christoffer Sandahl, a contributing factor has been that many of the cruise tourists who visited Karlskrona during the summer also visited the Blekinge museum.
The report from the national association also shows that the number of digital visits to museums' collections has increased.
This is something that also applies to Blekinge museum, which had more than twice as many users in the collection database as in 2021.
The statistics in the report are based on responses from 155 museums around the country, which together had 17.1 million physical visits.
