A resident of Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis) was injured by gunfire this Friday evening while she was at home.

The bullet was fired through his front door, reports

Le Parisien

.

It was around 11 p.m. when the victim, a mother in her fifties, heard a noise coming from the landing of her apartment building.

She then peeked through the peephole and a bang was immediately heard.

An ongoing investigation

Injured in the abdomen and in shock, the 50-year-old was taken to hospital.

Fortunately, his life is not in danger: the bullet, fired with a rifle according to the first findings, passed through the door but only slightly penetrated his body.

A police investigation was opened and the shooter was still actively sought on Saturday.

The investigators do not exclude the track of a simple mistake and an attacker who would have taken the wrong door.
