Recently, the Israeli army focused its operations in the Jenin area and targeted Palestinian resistance fighters, which led to the martyrdom of a number of them.

During the past two weeks, 13 Palestinians were shot dead by the occupation forces, and there is fear of a greater Israeli escalation under the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, which is described as the most right-wing.

Funeral of a martyr, Bramallah

And in the town of Ramon, east of Ramallah, yesterday, Sunday, the people mourned the martyr Ahmed Kahla, who was shot dead by the Israeli army in the town of Silwad. The funeral procession departed from the Palestine Medical Complex, amidst chants denouncing the daily crimes of the occupation.

The Israeli army claimed at first that Kahla tried to stab one of its soldiers, but later retracted his account, while the Palestinian Authority and the resistance factions described what happened as another execution.

A video clip circulated on social media showed that the occupation soldiers beat Ahmed Kahla while he was trying to defend himself during a verbal argument with the soldiers, then the occupation soldiers shot him and killed him.

Shootings and arrests

Also in the West Bank, eyewitnesses reported that Palestinian gunmen opened fire - yesterday afternoon, Sunday - at a settler bus near the town of Halhul, then withdrew from the place.

For its part, the Israeli Occupation Army said that the bus was damaged by several gunshot wounds, without causing any casualties.

And pushed the occupation forces reinforcements to the area, and launched a wide combing operation.

A few days ago, Palestinians attacked the Israeli military checkpoint of Qalandia with an explosive device, while armed clashes occurred between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces as they stormed cities and towns in the West Bank.

On the other hand, the occupation forces arrested last night and today, Monday, 19 Palestinians from separate areas in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that the arrests took place in Beit Ummar and Halhul, north of Hebron, and also included the town of Qabatiya, the Dheisheh camp, the town of Husan, the towns of Beit Sira and Deir Ammar, west of Ramallah, and the town of Al-Eizariya in occupied Jerusalem, adding that the detainees were transferred to detention centers for interrogation on charges of practicing Activities aimed at resisting the occupation.

Demolition of a house in Jerusalem

Meanwhile, last night, the Israeli occupation forces demolished about 30 different commercial establishments in the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.

Bulldozers belonging to the occupation municipality stormed the town and proceeded to demolish the facilities located on the main street near one of the occupation military checkpoints established at the entrance to the city of Jerusalem from the northeastern side.

The mayor of Hizma told Al-Jazeera that there were no notices of demolition, and that the area is classified as Area C in the West Bank, but the municipality of the occupation of Jerusalem seeks to include the area under its influence.
