With the arrival of line B of the metro, projects are swarming in the Atalante district in Cesson-Sévigné near Rennes.

Close to the private hospital, a former Orange building is currently undergoing transformation.

Raised by three levels, this building of more than 6,000 m² will host in the first quarter of 2024 a rather atypical project called Canopia Santé.

A little cramped in their current premises, the orthopedic surgeons from Ircoms will take their place there alongside other healthcare professionals.

But the project will not be exclusively medical.

The building will also house a state-of-the-art sports and health centre.

Open to all, a large sports platform will allow seasoned or amateur athletes to carry out stress tests, improve their technique or rehabilitate themselves.

"We will make available to the general public very modern tools which until now have only been reserved for high-level athletes", emphasizes Laurent Guivarc'h, who coordinates the project.

Altitude conditions recreated

Packed with technologies, the center will allow people preparing for high mountain treks to acclimatize to the altitude in real conditions.

The structure, which hopes to win the Maison Sport-Santé label, will also host a swimming pool and a restaurant to mix the public.

Right next to it, another building of 3,500 m² is also under construction.

Called Canopia Business, it will eventually be occupied by companies.

Worth a total of 22 million euros, the project is supported by two groups of investors, Sévigné Invest and Sévigné New Project.
