Witnesses say that the airliner in the accident turned its body in a hurry as if it was trying to avoid a missile right before it crashed.

The plane took off from Kathmandu International Airport, the capital of Nepal, at 10:33 am local time yesterday (15th).

Pokhara, 129 km to the west, is only a 25-minute flight away.

At 10:50 a.m., the airliner's pilot has last contact with Pokhara Airport.

At 11:00 am, when it should have landed at Pokhara Airport, an abnormal flight was observed near the airport.

[Eyewitness (filming the accident video): As shown in the video, the plane suddenly turned, just like a fighter jet trying to avoid a missile.]

It seems that the plane crashed right after it tilted to one side, but the airline said the time of the crash was not correct for landing. He said it was only about 10 seconds ahead.

A video believed to have been taken from the plane just before the accident also showed the plane falling somewhere within seconds of shaking violently.

At 822m above sea level, Pokhara Airport is notoriously difficult to land in due to its close proximity to the main Himalayan peaks, changeable weather and thin air density.

However, given that the day was clear at the time of the crash and flames soared at the scene, it is assumed that blurred vision or lack of fuel were not the cause.

Nepalese authorities collected the black box that stored the pilot's voice information and flight records from the site and began a full-scale investigation into the cause.
