President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on a state visit to the United Arab Emirates, had a summit meeting with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

After the meeting, the president's office announced that the UAE sovereign wealth fund had decided to invest 30 billion dollars and about 37 trillion won in Korea.

Outside the UAE Presidential Palace, where the summit will be held, the official welcome ceremony began with 21 salutes and air aerobatics.



This was followed by an expanded meeting attended by ministers and dignitaries from the two countries and a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders.

After the meeting, the president's office announced that the UAE sovereign wealth fund had promised to invest 30 billion dollars, or about 37 trillion won, in Korea.



The President's Office reported that President Muhammad's explanation was that he "decided to invest with confidence in the Republic of Korea, which keeps its promise under any circumstances."



After the summit, President Yun and his wife, Kim Kun-hee, visited the ROK Armed Forces ARK unit stationed in the UAE.
