Local TV stations showed thick black smoke rising from the crash site, and rescuers and crowds gathered around the wreckage of the plane. Some of the remains have been found.
According to the "Kathmandu Post", Sudarshan Bartaula, a spokesman for Yeti Airlines, said that efforts are being made to extinguish the fire caused by the plane crash.
