The U.S. gave Uwu the "patriots" stationed in Sri Lanka?

Slovakia did not respond

The West continues to send weapons to Ukraine. Among them, whether a set of "Patriot" anti-missile systems stationed in Slovakia by the US military will be shipped to Ukraine has attracted much attention recently.

However, the Russian side stated that NATO countries' provision of advanced weapons to Ukraine will not change the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, nor will it hinder Russia's goal of special military operations.

The Slovak Ministry of Defense confirmed on the 12th that the United States will soon withdraw a set of "Patriot" missile defense systems deployed in Slovakia and ship them to Germany for maintenance.

A reporter from Deutsche Presse Agency asked Slovak government spokesman Kovar whether the US took this opportunity to provide the "Patriot" missile defense system to Slovakia's neighbor Ukraine.

In response, Slovakia did not respond.

Since the United States announced the provision of the "Patriot" anti-missile system to Ukraine, NATO countries have continued to increase the specifications of weapons delivered to Ukraine.

After the United States, Germany and France announced last week that they would provide three types of heavy armored combat vehicles, Poland and the United Kingdom announced recently that they plan to send main battle tanks including the "Leopard" to Ukraine for the first time.

Since the escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine has been asking Western countries to provide "Leopard 2" tanks, but all export licenses for "Leopard 2" tanks are controlled by Germany, and Germany can finally decide whether any country can sell or donate tanks.

Germany: There is currently no plan to send "Leopard 2" tanks to Ukraine

On the 11th of this month, a spokesman for the German government stated that it has not received any request from any country to send "Leopard 2" tanks to Ukraine.

German Defense Minister Lambrecht confirmed on the 12th that Germany currently has no plans to send "Leopard 2" tanks to Ukraine.

Hungary: Will not send weapons to Ukraine

In addition, the Minister of the Hungarian Prime Minister's Office, Guyash Gergey, also stated on the 12th that the provision of "Leopard 2" tanks to Ukraine will increase the possibility of escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Hungary will not send weapons to Ukraine, and it will not allow other countries to send weapons to Ukraine through Hungary.

German media: Different attitudes reflect NATO internal divisions

A recent article on the website of the German "Welt" pointed out that the different attitudes of Germany, Hungary, Poland and other countries in providing support to Ukraine reflect the differences among NATO member states on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Some countries, including Germany, hope to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible through peace talks and other means.

Russia: The West's supply of main battle tanks to Ukraine will not change the result

Russian President’s Press Secretary Peskov made it clear on the 9th that the supply of main battle tanks and other weapons by Western countries to Ukraine will not change the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, nor will it hinder Russia’s goal of special military operations.

He said that Russia is not worried that the West may deliver more advanced military equipment to Ukraine.
