Twitter, which has been struggling since being acquired by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, took out free advertising benefits again to catch advertisers and started promotional activities.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on the 14th (local time) that Twitter is promoting a '1 for 1' event to bring back advertisers who have lapsed.

If you spend up to $ 250,000 (approximately 310 million won) in advertising, you will receive an additional advertisement for that amount in addition to the advertisement.

It's been a month since Twitter started promoting free advertising like this in early December of last year.

At the time, Twitter attached a condition that you must spend more than $500,000 (about 620 million won) in advertising to receive free advertising benefits, but this event has lowered the standard for receiving benefits.

Twitter's successive promotional activities seem to prove its management difficulties.

About 90% of Twitter's $5.1 billion in revenue last year came from advertising.

However, after Musk acquired Twitter in October of last year, big players such as United Airlines, automobile company General Motors (GM), and Volkswagen, including pharmaceutical company Pfizer, stopped advertising on Twitter.

Accordingly, Musk said that Twitter's cash flow is not good and that it is likely to go bankrupt if its revenue growth plan goals are not met.

Since then, Musk has been probing, saying, "There is no concern about bankruptcy," but Twitter is in a situation where it has started austerity management, such as reducing office space, in addition to layoffs.
