Karolina's life was depicted in SVT's documentary "I had to flee", where she talks about one day being able to return to her native Ukraine.
From Malmö, where she now lives, she talks to her best friend Marta every day.
- It makes me sad that she is still in Ukraine, it hurts to talk about her, she said then.
Surprised the friend
But now they have finally reunited.
Karolina went down to Volodymyr in Ukraine for a few days - to surprise Marta with a big hug.
- It feels fantastic.
I was completely shocked, says friend Marta.
