In order to ensure the safety of water supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area such as Macao, Zhuhai, and Zhongshan during the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, from the 11th to the 12th, the relevant person in charge of the Pearl River Committee led a team to Zhuhai, Zhongshan and other places to supervise and inspect the safety of water supply during the dry season. He also held discussions and exchanges with relevant parties in Zhuhai and Zhongshan on the effectiveness of emergency water supply scheduling in the early stage, the current rainwater and salinity situation in the basin, the future development trend, and the development of water supply guarantee work, and provided guidance to relevant units.

On January 3 this year, the commission implemented the third emergency water replenishment dispatch, and scientifically dispatched 13 reservoirs in the upper and middle reaches to replenish 470 million cubic meters of water downstream, effectively ensuring the safety of water supply in Macau, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and other places in the near future.
At the same time, the Pearl River Committee has strengthened coordination with the power grid, shipping and other departments to ensure the safe operation of the power grid and ease the navigation pressure on the main shipping line of the Xijiang River.
