Mini-Maria is a reception aimed at young people who have a risky habit, are addicted to alcohol and drugs or where television or computer gaming has become a problem.

Receptions are available throughout Sweden and there are three in Gothenburg.

Mini-Maria Gothenburg is a collaboration between the City of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

Initially, the app is aimed at people who live in Öckerö and the municipality of Gothenburg, but in the long run others in the region will also start.

Shorter waiting time

The reception states a waiting time of 5-10 minutes during their regular opening hours between 10am and 4pm, Monday-Thursday.

Now they have created commercials on Snapchat and TikTok specifically aimed at people interested in drug-related material.

- We want to reach the young people who are interested in such material, then we hope that we will be seen there too, so that they understand that it is easy to get help with these things, says Helena Ringnér, lay psychologist and project manager for Minimaria the app.
