President Yoon Seok-yeol made a state visit to the United Arab Emirates via Abu Dhabi International Airport yesterday (14th, local time) on Air Force Flight 1, the presidential plane, on the afternoon of the 14th (local time).



When Air Force Unit 1 entered the airspace of the United Arab Emirates, a total of four Air Force fighter jets, two on the left and right, escorted President Yoon as a state guest.



At the airport, three ministers and high-ranking officials, including Foreign Minister Al Nahyan, the younger brother of President Muhammad, came out and welcomed President Yoon and his wife.



In a conversation at the airport, Minister Al Nahyan said, "It is the first state visit since the inauguration of President Muhammad, and it is of special significance to the Republic of Korea."



President Yoon replied, "I have been looking forward to meeting President Muhammad, and several ministers and about 100 businessmen have come with me."



Ministers from eight ministries, including Deputy Prime Minister of Economy and Finance Kyung-ho Choo, and about 100 businessmen accompanied him on this trip.



Kim Eun-hye, senior secretary for public relations who accompanied the tour, said, "We are working on this tour with the determination to find a way out for Korea through exports and a breakthrough in economic leap forward."



While staying in the UAE for 3 nights and 4 days until the 17th, President Yoon holds a summit meeting with President Muhammad to discuss agendas such as upgrading the 'special strategic partnership' between the two countries.
