Ireland: alcohol bottles will now mention the dangers of drinking them

As on cigarette packs, alcohol bottles will now display the dangers associated with the consumption of this type of drink.

The European Commission has just given the green light.

This measure is already making a lot of noise in Italy or Spain where wine producers are furious.

But Ireland should still go to the end of its initiative.

Ireland has one of the highest fetal alcohol rates in the world, we are third.

Most of the time it's because people are not aware.

So it's the basic right of consumers.

Three years to change

If the Irish government formalizes this new law after the agreement of the European Union (EU), alcohol producers will have three years to change the labeling of their bottles.
