US President Biden showed a friendly relationship with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida, who visited for a summit, at the White House.

President Biden put his hand on the shoulder of Prime Minister Kishida, who was wearing a similar dark-colored suit, took a 'shoulder companion' pose, and called each other names, creating a friendly atmosphere.

Even in the chilly weather, President Biden came out to the front of the White House building and waited for about 4 minutes to greet Prime Minister Kishida.

Prior to the official meeting, the two leaders, sitting side by side in the office of President Biden, exchanged good wishes, and President Biden started the conversation by calling Prime Minister Kishida by name.

Then he said, "I don't think we've ever been this close," appraising that "we met in an amazing moment at the alliance level," consciously showing off intimacy.

Prime Minister Kishida also started his remarks by calling President Biden "Joe" and also referred to him as "my precious friend."

After the meeting, Prime Minister Kishida added, "I believe that I was able to further deepen my relationship of personal trust with President Biden. I felt that I was able to strongly confirm cooperation with the US-Japan alliance."
