Therefore, if it is possible to find a legal instrument for the confiscation of property, naturally with an evidence base and as a result of a court decision, then I strongly support the very format of confiscation from people who cause outright harm and damage to the state,” Danyuk said.
He also noted that it would be right to extend this practice not only to people who declare something publicly, but also to those who “quietly, calmly, without loud statements” support the Armed Forces of Ukraine with money or concrete actions.
“Measures should be developed that made people understand that ... in the current conditions, such legal mechanisms are absolutely logical and justified,” the expert concluded.
Earlier, the head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Andrey Klishas, considered it possible to implement the idea of confiscating property from Russian citizens for insulting the Russian Armed Forces.
