“The unstable situation with the external power supply of Europe's largest nuclear power plant remains.

Six ZNPP reactors have been shut down, but still need electricity for reactor cooling and other critical nuclear safety functions,” the agency said in a statement.

It is clarified that ZNPP receives power from the last operating 750 kV external power line.

If the power supply is cut off from the outside, all 20 standby diesel generators of the facility are ready to provide the nuclear power plant with the necessary electricity.

Nine mobile diesel boilers are also in operation to help prevent freezing of critical ZNPP systems.

The IAEA also announced its intention to deploy two experts each at three Ukrainian nuclear power plants and at the site of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
