Uralvagonzavod announced the successful completion of another contract for the supply of T-90M Proryv tanks and the shipment of this batch of armored vehicles to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

As emphasized in the press service of the enterprise, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, today the UVZ tank conveyor operates around the clock along with other workshops of mechanical assembly production.

“The team of the Nizhny Tagil enterprise is doing everything possible to successfully complete the tasks of national importance,” UVZ added.

The press release also cites the words of Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who called the employees of Uralvagonzavod the best specialists in the field of tank building.

“Today, their skills are confirmed by one of the most modern tanks in the world - the T-90M Proryv.

They have a new tower, a new generation of dynamic protection, a new gun, modern means of communication, a more powerful engine, and much more.

They are equipped with modern equipment that allows the tank crew to effectively hit targets,” Manturov said, stressing that the plant completed the task set under the state defense order on time.

Recall that at the end of August 2022, the management of the plant transferred the employees involved in the implementation of the state defense order to a special mode of operation "due to a significant increase in the volume of the most important tasks for the country's defense."

According to the order, specialists can be involved in overtime work, which is paid at a double rate.

Along with this, due to the increase in the intensity of work, UVZ employees working with the state defense order were given a surcharge on the current tariff rate of 35%.

"Breakthrough" in service

Recall that Uralvagonzavod began serial production of T-90M Proryv tanks in February 2021.

We are talking about the current evolutionary stage of the T-90 tank, adopted by the RF Armed Forces in October 1992.

For the first time in its final version, the T-90M was presented to the public at the Army-2018 military-technical forum.

As previously noted in Rostec, this tank is significantly superior in combat effectiveness to its predecessor T-90, but at the same time retains its advantages, including exceptional reliability and a minimum amount of necessary maintenance during operation.

It differs from previous versions of the T-90M in an increased level of security, which was achieved by installing third-generation Relikt universal dynamic protection modules on the outer armor.

Along with this, to protect the crew, the T-90M compartments are covered from the inside with anti-fragmentation material made of heavy-duty fabric.

The Ministry of Defense has already announced the delivery of the T-90M to the zone of a special military operation in Ukraine.

At the end of December, the department announced that a batch of these vehicles had entered service with a tank unit of the Central Military District.

As noted in the Ministry of Defense, the crews began training under the guidance of instructors, taking into account modern combat experience.

As part of this work, they improved the skills of fire training and control of armored vehicles.

In particular, tankers practice shooting at targets with standard tank armament both from closed and open positions with direct fire.

Adjustment of fire is carried out with the help of drones.

As noted then in the Ministry of Defense, after the completion of combat coordination, tank crews will begin to perform tasks as part of the grouping of Brave units.

As the Ministry of Defense clarified in early January, the process of combat coordination of T-90M crews continues in the rear areas of the special operation.

At the same time, footage of the combat use of the latest tanks in the NVO zone has already appeared on the network.
