In an interview with Hungarian state television, Orbán reportedly said that the victims of the wrong sanctions policy and the Ukraine crisis were Europeans.
In this crisis, the United States is the winner and Europe is the loser.
"In general, economically, it is safe to say that the only or the biggest loser from the Ukraine crisis is Europe," Orbán said.
Orbán believes that the European Union does not have enough courage to admit that its sanctions policy is wrong, and Hungary does not have enough capacity to change the position of larger countries, so it may continue to impose sanctions on Russia, although ineffective.
Orbán previously stated that Europe was forced to pay 5-10 times as much for giving up Russian energy for the United States, and thus suffered.
