The mask requirement was introduced in mid-April 2020 to reduce the risk of transmission.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Hessen has been infected 2.8 million times with Corona, some more than once.

According to the Ministry of Health and the RKI, 12,000 Hessians died from it.

85 percent of citizens over the age of 18 have now been vaccinated.

144 corona patients are currently being treated in Hessian intensive care units.
