An American study: Assisting Ukraine causes Washington a problem with strategic precautions

"The United States will not be able to restore weapons stockpiles within five years due to the assistance of the Ukrainian armed forces," said a study prepared by CSIS Fellow, retired US Marine Colonel Mark Kanchian.

The study, which monitors expectations for "Javelin" systems and artillery stocks of 155 mm shells, said that, taking into account investments, it will take five years, and for "Stinger" portable air defense systems, it will take six years.

At the same time, the expert notes that under the previous pace of production, military companies will not be able to restore the required level of strategic reserves, while Kanchyan stressed that "military assistance to Ukraine will continue, but replenishing supplies during this period will become an increasingly urgent problem."

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg admitted that the bloc's countries, including the European Union, have largely depleted their stocks of weapons due to Ukraine's help.
