A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday in Vanves (Hauts-de-Seine) for threatening an 18-year-old young man with a knife.
The suspect was already on the wanted list, reports CNews.
The facts occurred in the middle of the street, according to a police source.
The victim would have approached the young man to ask him for a cigarette.
The tone would have quickly risen and the teenager would then have taken out a knife and threatened him with death, declaring that he was going to "plant" him.
He carried a 10 cm knife
The suspect allegedly tried to stab several times, shouting that he was going to kill the major "in the name of Allah".
Alerted by witnesses, the police quickly arrested him.
The minor was taken into custody for attempted homicide, threat with weapon, apology for terrorism and possession of narcotics.
A 10 cm blade was found on him.
He is already known to the police, in particular for acts of violence with a weapon.
