It was shortly before midnight on Sunday evening that a woman in her 20s was allegedly assaulted by a man in a dark jacket and hood while walking in Nyby or Gamla Uppsala.

The man allegedly fled the scene when the woman screamed for help.

The incident is classified as sexual harassment.

The second incident occurred at 8 p.m. on Monday evening at Granelidsvägen near Vårdsätravägen.

A girl in her early teens is said to have been attacked by a man with a slim build, wearing a dark down jacket and hood.

The incident is classified as attempted rape.

- For unknown reasons, the man fled the scene along Vårdsätravägen in the direction of Gottsunda, says Jonas Eronen.

Looking for witnesses

According to Jonas Eronen, there is reason to believe that there may be witnesses who have seen the man running along Vårdsätravägen.

- It is very worrying that two similar events take place within the space of a day, he says.
