At present, the death penalty ruling on Lao Rongzhi is being reported to the Supreme People's Court for approval in accordance with the law.

Qian Ren was the target of the crime, and jointly committed murder, kidnapping, and robbery in Nanchang, Jiangxi, Wenzhou, Zhejiang, Changzhou, Jiangsu, and Hefei, Anhui, killing seven people.

After the incident, Lao Rongzhi has been absconding and was arrested in November 2019.

Lao Rongzhi refused to accept it and appealed.
