“There are no plans to introduce any restrictions in connection with the discovery of a new sub-variant of the Omicron “Kraken” strain,” the press service said in a statement.

On January 12, it became known that the first case of a new subspecies of the omicron-strain "kraken" was detected in Russia, it was recorded in the Penza region.
