Packed snow and ice on the road interspersed with large potholes that make a normal passenger car shake and jump a lot.

It has become everyday for the residents who use highway 62 north of Brattmon.

Liselott Olsson is disappointed when she notes that winter road maintenance has never been worse in all the years she has worked as a newspaper delivery person in Nordvärmland.

Joe Bengtsson, a resident of Kärrbackstrand and a local politician for the Independents in Torsby (DoIT), agrees.

In the video, you hear Liselott Olsson and Joe Bengtsson talk about the condition of the road and how it is to get there.

Unsustainable to drive due to icy conditions

They are used to the fact that there is a little snow and ice left on the road - and that's how it's allowed to be according to the Swedish Transport Administration, as it's a so-called class 3 stretch north of Brattmon - but the ice and all the bumps have made it untenable to drive a car there, they mean.

- It has never been this bad, says Joe Bengtsson.

The Swedish Transport Administration ordered road scraping again

Trafikverket's project manager Elinor Örtendahl says that they have received several complaints, especially in recent days.

- Much is about the mild weather that has been.

Now we have ordered out the road scraper again to try to level the road.

But we do not consider that the contractor has mismanaged his mission, she says.
