The base of Fort Sill, in the State of Oklahoma, in the center of the United States, will accommodate a little less than a hundred Ukrainian soldiers.

It is there that they will be trained in the handling of the most sophisticated anti-aircraft defense system in the American arsenal, which the United States has decided to supply to Ukraine after months of requests from kyiv and debates in Washington.

In principle, training American soldiers for the same takes about a year.

In this specific case, and given the urgency of the situation and the almost daily Russian strikes, the US Department of Defense will try to speed things up.
