A local car manufacturing company in Afghanistan unveiled the first local sports car, designed by an Afghan engineer after a 5-year manufacturing and assembly journey.

The Afghan engineer, Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, who supervised the manufacture of the car, said that the workers did not receive salaries for the duration of the car's manufacture.

Ahmadi indicated that the manufacturing operations cost about $50,000, expressing his wishes to manufacture and produce more cars.

The leaders of the Taliban movement participated in the unveiling ceremony of the car in the Afghan capital, Kabul, and published pictures and video clips of the ceremony, and called for concerted efforts to raise the level of innovation and industrialization in the country.

A content creator named Ibrahim, who holds Saudi and Afghan nationalities, visited the car design factory, early last December, and took a video from the place, during which he presented a detailed explanation about the car, and published it through his accounts on communication platforms.

The car designer added that he plans to display the Afghani car at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be hosted by the State of Qatar next November.

"The car was designed at the Innovation Center of the Technical and Vocational Education Authority to support innovative youth," said the Afghan Minister of Higher Education, Nida Muhammad Nadeem, noting that "there are other projects under construction."

The motor of the engineer, Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, was designed and modeled.
