It was last Sunday that the boy's mother alerted the police after the 8-year-old did not come home to her.
The police went to the father's house and found the son dead.
The father was arrested and later detained by prosecutors on the lower level of suspicion.
The man was heard on Tuesday and according to the prosecutor, the suspicions were strengthened after that.
- The father is questioned and denies any crime, but we believe we have a picture of what has happened, Lindha Strömberg said on Tuesday.
Death caused by another person
On Wednesday, the coroner's statement about what caused the boy's death came.
The prosecutor does not want to go into the cause of death, but says that it points to a crime having been committed.
- The findings strongly suggest that the death was caused by another person.
I don't want to go into detail now about the exact injuries or cause of death, says Lindha Strömberg.
On Wednesday or Thursday, the prosecutor will submit an arrest petition to the district court, where the father will take a stand on the charges.
