Oman's foreign minister discusses with the UN envoy in Yemen efforts to achieve peace

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi received today, Wednesday, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, who is visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Oman News Agency today, during the meeting, views were exchanged on efforts to achieve peace in Yemen in a way that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for security and stability through a political process with the participation of all Yemeni parties and the support of the international community.

An official delegation from the Sultanate of Oman arrived in Sana'a, yesterday, Tuesday, to complete discussions with the Houthis on the developments of the Yemen crisis and ways to solve it.

It is noteworthy that the Sultanate of Oman is conducting intensive diplomatic moves with the help of the United Nations and the international community, in order to work to create rapprochement between the parties to the Yemeni conflict, in preparation for resolving the crisis through negotiations.

Because of the failure to extend the armistice until today, the military escalation has returned again between the government forces and the Houthis, amid repeated international and international efforts for a cease-fire in Yemen.
