After sobering up, he invoked the noise pollution his neighbor would be accustomed to.

A 57-year-old man, hitherto totally unknown to the police, was arrested overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Toulouse district of Saint-Martin-du-Touch, where he lives in his mobile home.

In the middle of the night, in a fit of anger, and probably helped too by the 1.6 grams of alcohol he had in his blood, the man grabbed a knife and rushed towards his neighbour's mobile home.

He did not hurt the 30-year-old but went after his door with his blade.

It was the frightened neighbor who called the police.

The suspect was still in custody at the police station on Wednesday afternoon.
