"Fragile" warns the inscription on the box, which Banksys has decorated with the screenprint of one of his famous rats: their claws seem to scratch the eponymous lettering "Fragile" when trying in vain to climb up the cardboard.

The British street artist made fifty copies of the print series, individually scratched by their creator with a pizza cutter, available for sale to the non-profit organization Legacy of War: They could be purchased online after registration for £5,000 each.

Proceeds will benefit war-affected civilians in Ukraine and will be used to purchase ambulances to bring the disabled, elderly and injured to safety.

The fact that this help is not possible as quickly as the artist and the aid organization wanted is due to Russian online attacks, according to Legacy of War.

According to the website, the company received more than a million applications for a Banksy print, but also suffered "3,500 hostile attacks from a Russian IP address".

It is therefore still a long time before all entries have been checked.

Banksy has already demonstrated its solidarity with Ukraine last year when seven murals by the anonymous artist appeared in and around Kyiv.

Thieves tried to make a profit by knocking the graffito of a woman in a bathrobe and gas mask off the wall in the town of Hostomel.

The plant was secured by the Ukrainian police and several suspects were arrested.

It is still unclear what will generally happen to Banksy's artworks in Ukraine.
