On Wednesday, it was announced that the government is going to the Riksdag with a proposal that new nuclear power reactors can be built in more places in Sweden.

The proposal has been met with sharp criticism, including from the Green Party.

- It is embarrassing for the government to put forward a proposal like this in order to prove themselves capable of action.

It does not help the households here and now with the electricity bills, says Katrin Wissing, party secretary for the MP.

But just over a kilometer from Forsmark, the proposal is viewed with different eyes.
