“This five-year contract is designed to support teams in USAID missions in the Balkans to meet their information needs to make informed program management decisions,” the description reads.

Contracted professionals must also provide analytical data to help evaluate the effectiveness of the US agency in the region.

The United States is ready to allocate up to $25 million for these purposes.

The application specifies that the work of contractors under the contract can be carried out in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia.

As noted in the department, USAID has been providing "development assistance" to the Balkan countries for almost 25 years.

As the number of projects and activities increased, so did the need for related services.

Projects funded by USAID missions in the Balkans are aimed at supporting "independent" media, "fighting corruption", working with youth, and so on.

According to experts, some of these programs involve the promotion of American interests and values.

According to analysts, the Balkan region is an important target for Washington, as anti-American sentiments persist there.
