The court of Versailles (Yvelines) sentenced this Monday, January 9, Fabrice Ostorero, director of cabinet of the president Department, to three months in prison suspended.

The former director general of services (DGS) of the City of Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) between 2014 and 2021 was accused of posing as the various right mayor of the city, Raphaël Cognet.

Under this identity, he had sent several SMS.

Fabrice Ostorero was also accused of having made malicious calls and text messages to four municipal agents between May 13 and July 11, 2022.

It was a period of by-elections.

Acknowledging the facts, the official explained that he had committed them in “campaign emulation”.

He was given a month's suspended prison sentence for the first facts, and two months for the rest.

Claims for compensation from civil parties will be examined on February 15.
