He informed about this during a Cabinet meeting.

“The [budget] deficit amounted to 3.3 trillion rubles, or 2.3% of GDP,” TASS quoted Siluanov as saying.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Finance clarified that if we take into account the funds that the state compensated extra-budgetary funds as a result of deferrals on insurance premiums and subtract these funds from the volume of expenditures, then the deficit amounted to 1.8% of GDP.

Siluanov also said that the budgets of 40 regions of Russia in 2022 were executed with a surplus, and another 45 regions with a deficit.
