A 52-year-old man was to answer for harassment against his neighbor before the criminal court of Senlis (Oise) on Monday.

The charges took place in La Chapelle-en-Serval (Oise) over a period of 15 months from July 2021. The victim had filed 60 complaints, in particular for throwing eggs, stones and paintballs , reports

During the investigation, the 50-year-old had expressed animosity towards his neighbor and declared: “We can throw dead calves at him, I don’t care!

A surveillance operation by the gendarmes had caught him throwing something in the direction of the house.

The man then continued to deny the facts, then recognized only a few jets of paintballs.

He was eventually found guilty of 106 acts of degradation and given a six-month suspended prison sentence.

The defendant may not come into contact with the victim, nor appear at the latter's home or possess a weapon.

The amount of damages will be determined shortly.
