For the first time since the measures against the new coronavirus were eased in Hong Kong, a face-to-face trade fair was held to collect sake from all over the world, and sake breweries from Japan are also participating to promote sake and plum wine.

The fair has been held since 2008 by a government agency working to promote trade in Hong Kong.

Due to the relaxation of measures against the new coronavirus, it was held alone for the first time in four years, and more than 100 companies from six countries and regions such as Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom exhibited wine and whiskey.

Of these, six sake brewing companies set up booths at the pavilion opened by Fukuoka Prefecture, and the person in charge enthusiastically explained the characteristics of the products to the visitors, both face-to-face and online.

At the venue, it became possible to taste the sake, which had been prohibited until now, and the visitors went around the booths and compared the tastes of sake.

A man who imports Japanese sake in Hong Kong said, "I've been waiting for this day for a long time. It was difficult with the new coronavirus, but it's really nice to be able to meet and talk directly with people from breweries." was

Sake is very popular in Hong Kong, and competition is intensifying. I think it's important to have them feel the heat and connect it to business in a win-win situation."

This trade fair will be held for two days on the 10th and 11th.
