It is not possible to say exactly how much the notifications have increased in recent years because the solar cell cases only received their own code at ARN in the summer of 2021. But that there was an increase between the years 2021 and 2022 is beyond doubt.

Between July 1 and December 20, 2021, 15 notifications were made.

During the same time period in 2022, 134 were received.

A natural increase

Anna Werner, CEO of the industry association Swedish solar energy, thinks it is sad that the number of solar cell cases for ARN has increased.

She explains that it is not strange considering that the industry is growing so quickly.

According to Anna Werner, 26,000 solar cell installations were carried out in 2021 and 46,000 in 2022.

- It is natural that the number of cases at ARN increases, but it increases too quickly, she says.

180 cases in 2022

SVT has requested and reviewed the majority of the notifications received in 2022.

Consumers have various complaints, but many complain about delays, that it took too long to get the solar cells installed or waiting for the necessary components to be able to use the facility.

Broken facilities

A couple of the reports are about what SVT Nyheter Sörmland reported on last fall, that it takes time to get the solar panels connected to the electricity grid.

Of the 180 notifications, Eskilstuna resident Mikael Magnusson is behind one.

His case is about him not getting the kilowatt-hours he feels the company promised.

There are other consumers who reported the same thing.

Other consumers report, for example, broken facilities and equipment as well as damage to the roof after installation.
