The Prime Minister of Armenia earlier called on the Russian side to start discussing the situation around the Lachin corridor in the UN Security Council, RIA Novosti reports.

“When he announced the appeal to the UN Security Council, many experts asked themselves: why are we talking about the appeal of Russia, and not Armenia?”

Pashinyan said.

He stressed that Armenia applied to the Security Council of the world organization.

“If we turn to the Security Council on this issue, this means that we are turning against Russia, among other things,” Pashinyan added.

The Armenian prime minister noted that Yerevan needs not just an appeal, but a decision of the UN Security Council.

Earlier, Pashinyan said that relations between Armenia and Russia have never been as trusting as they are now.

He also announced Yerevan's readiness to sign a document on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on Russia's terms.
