Parliamentary session to elect a new president for Lebanon Thursday

Today, Tuesday, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, called for a session to elect a president for the republic, the day after tomorrow, Thursday.

The parliament had held 10 sessions devoted to electing a new president for the republic, the last of which was on December 15, but it did not succeed in electing a new president.

It is noteworthy that the term of the former President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, ended on October 31, and Lebanon entered the presidential vacancy stage.
