(Shenzhou Photo) China's Provincial Two Sessions Held Intensive Team Changes, Fighting the Economy, etc. Attracted Attention

  China News Agency, Beijing, January 10th (Reporter Wang Huan) This week, China's provincial and local two sessions will be held intensively in 2023.

The change of time, the adjustment of the provincial leadership team, and how to plan the development of the new year in various places are eye-catching.

  China's people's congresses and people's political consultative conferences at all levels are collectively referred to as the "two sessions".

The provincial two sessions are generally held in January and February each year before the national two sessions.

The Spring Festival of 2023 will be on January 22, and many provinces have set the date for the two sessions to be held in early and mid-January before the festival.

  According to a reporter from China News Agency, at least 24 of the 31 provinces will hold the Two Sessions this week.

January 10 was the peak of the first wave, and the earliest provinces and cities to enter the two sessions included Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Hebei, and Yunnan.

  The time of the people's congresses in many places has been adjusted, and they are all scheduled after the 10th.

The People's Congress of the Tibet Autonomous Region has been adjusted from January 7 to January 13.

The Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, which was originally scheduled to be held on January 5, and the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, which were originally scheduled to be held on January 9, were rescheduled to January 11.

  At this year's provincial-level two sessions, the provincial people's congresses, governments, and political consultative conferences will complete their leadership changes, and personnel issues are expected to attract much attention.

  By convention, except for Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangdong, Tibet, and Xinjiang, the directors of the standing committees of the people's congresses in the other 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities are concurrently served by provincial party committee secretaries.

As of January 3, 17 provincial-level party committee "top leaders" have been adjusted across the country.

  At the government level, if there is no accident, several provincial-level government officials will "represent" at the provincial-level People's Congress, such as Yin Yong, the acting mayor of Beijing, Zhao Gang, the acting governor of Shaanxi Province, Jin Xiangjun, the acting governor of Shanxi Province, and Jin Xiangjun, the acting governor of Heilongjiang Province. Liang Huiling, acting governor of the province, will assume office in the second half of 2022.

  "Trans-provincial transfer" has recently become a buzzword in Chinese politics, and many provinces have successively adjusted the party secretaries of the provincial CPPCC.

According to media reports, Wu Cunrong was transferred from Chongqing to the party secretary of the CPPCC Shanxi Province; Zhao Yongqing went to Guizhou from Ningxia to serve as the party secretary of the CPPCC Provincial Committee;

  In addition, Zhang Yankun, who successively served as deputy mayor of Beijing, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, and deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, was transferred to the party secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region CPPCC; Li Xiuling, who previously held this position, was transferred to the party group secretary of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee.

Tang Yijun, minister of justice, has been appointed secretary of the leading party group of the CPPCC in Jiangxi Province; Zhu Guoxian, former deputy secretary of the Hunan provincial party committee, has been appointed secretary of the leading party group of the Jilin provincial political consultative conference;

  In addition to personnel, how to fight the economy in various places is also a key issue.

The Central Economic Work Conference in 2022 clearly pointed out that "focusing on expanding domestic demand" will be the top of the five key tasks of economic work in 2023, emphasizing that "the recovery and expansion of consumption should be given priority."

Local and provincial two sessions will inevitably focus on economic and promotional expenses intensively. The prefecture-level two sessions previously held have revealed strong signals in advance.

  The work reports of several district-level governments in Beijing outline the roadmap for high-quality economic development in 2023, releasing a large number of investment, industrial and business opportunities; Shanghai's various regions focus on "future industries" such as the Internet, biomedicine, and new energy vehicles, and propose to entities The economy is working hard and seeking momentum from innovative industries; Guangzhou City has made it clear that it will optimize the overall layout of the city as an international consumption center and accelerate the construction of landmark commercial complexes; Wuhan City will expand domestic demand as the primary focus of the year, and wants to "ignite consumption enthusiasm in Greater Wuhan ".

  China has entered a new stage of epidemic prevention and control of the implementation of "Class B and B management" for new crown virus infection. Many ports have resumed customs clearance and cross-border tourism has reopened. The outside world is also waiting to see new measures for local development.
