Brazilian government has suppressed a large-scale riot that took place over the results of the last presidential election and launched a full-scale investigation.

The United States hinted at the possibility of extradition of former Brazilian President Bolsonaro, who is staying in the country.

It is the so-called 'patriotic tent' village of supporters of former President Bolsonaro who have occupied the front of the army headquarters demanding a coup.



The Brazilian government completely demolished the tent village and arrested about 1,500 people who stayed there.



Including some 400 people caught at the scene of the riot, the number of people arrested alone reaches 2,000.



President Lula said that he would definitely seek out and punish those who organized and funded them.

Former President Bolsonaro, who denies responsibility for the riot, released a picture of himself hospitalized in a Florida state on social media.



US politicians are calling for the immediate extradition of Bolsonaro to Brazil, saying that the US should not be a refuge for criminals.



Former President Bolsonaro entered the United States on the 30th of last month on an A-1 visa, which is granted to heads of state.

US government has not yet received an official request from the Brazilian government, but will take it seriously if a request for extradition arrives. In other words, the possibility of extradition was left open.
