A resident of Aubergenville (Yvelines) lost his job and his driving license because of a perfect namesake.

For several months, he has been fighting to have his administrative double condemned, says 78 Actu.

It all started in 2021, when this truck driver learned during a police check that his license had been invalidated.

Having neither lost points nor committed a traffic violation, he was surprised.

The Ile-de-France resident managed to keep his job, but his business then ceased operations.

Unemployed, the victim investigated and discovered that the alleged speeding had been committed in the north of France, where he never set foot.

He finally learned of the existence of a perfect namesake, whose date of birth, first name, last name... and fines he shares.

After filing an interim order, the victim won his case and got his license back.

But the namesake's cars remained associated with the victim's license.

Her lawyer is now considering contacting the public prosecutor.
