The Russian presidency said that Western arms supplies to Ukraine will not be able to radically change anything on the ground, while Kyiv announced the outcome of heavy losses for the Russian forces on its soil.

The Kremlin confirmed today, Monday, that the delivery of Western armored vehicles and other weapons announced last week to Ukraine will have no effect other than "prolonging the suffering of the Ukrainian people and will not change" the balance of power on the ground, denying at the same time allegations of a new wave of partial mobilization in Russia.

In turn, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, said that Russia is not fighting Ukraine, but rather is in confrontation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Last week, the United States and Germany announced their intention to deliver armored vehicles to Ukraine, while France said it had sent light tanks to Kyiv.

On the other hand, the advisor to the Ukrainian presidency, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that targeting Russian lands is a direct result of Russia's aggression against his country.

Podolyak added in a television interview that Ukraine has every right to target Russians in Crimea.

He said that according to international law, Ukraine has the right to destroy all Russian sites on its territory, including the Crimea peninsula, adding that targeting the Russian depth, such as military airports, "is a direct result of the aggression against our country, and today we are witnessing Russia's internal collapse."

mutual raids

In field developments, Russia's loyalists in Donetsk province announced control of the town of Pakhmutskoye, near Solidar, in eastern Ukraine.

In turn, the Ukrainian presidency said that the situation in the city of Solidar in the east of the country has become very difficult, but it is still steadfast with the city of Bakhmut, despite the Russian raids that caused great destruction to them.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that fierce fighting continues, and that the city of Kherson is being bombed by Russia with incendiary ammunition.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff said that in the past hours, its air forces carried out about 20 raids on the points of concentration of Russian forces in several areas, and shot down 3 Russian helicopters and 3 drones.

The authority added that the Russian forces carried out more than 30 air and missile strikes during the past day on unnamed Ukrainian sites, explaining that the Russians continued to defend their lines of concentration in the Kherson and Zporozhya provinces.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that its forces carried out a retaliatory strike against Ukrainian forces in the city of Kramatorsk, adding that the attack comes in response to the Makeyevka attack in Donetsk Province on New Year's Eve.

The ministry confirmed that the strike killed 600 Ukrainian soldiers in the city, while the Ukrainian army confirmed that the Russian statements are unfounded.

outcome of the war

Ukraine announced the outcome of the Russian losses, and said in a statement issued by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that since the start of the Russian invasion of the country on February 24, about 111,760 Russian soldiers have been killed, including 590 soldiers yesterday, Sunday.

The statement added that the enemy's total combat losses also included the destruction of 3,080 Russian tanks, 6,147 armored fighting vehicles, 2,069 artillery systems, 434 multiple-launch missile systems, and 217 anti-aircraft systems.

And the statement - which was published by the German news agency and did not provide any Russian comment on it - added that 285 warplanes, 275 helicopters, 16 gunboats, 1856 drones and 183 special equipment units were destroyed, and a total of 723 cruise missiles were shot down.

advanced aircraft

Meanwhile, British Army Intelligence said that Russia had almost certainly used, since last June, the advanced Su-57 FELON aircraft to carry out missions in Ukraine.

British intelligence added that this plane belongs to the fifth generation supersonic, and uses stealth techniques and highly advanced avionics.

And it was likely that these missions would be limited to flying over Russian territory and firing long-range missiles at Ukraine, and attributed this to Moscow's keenness on the safety and reputation of the plane and avoiding the risk of it being shot down in Ukraine.
