Like Tesla, Mercedes has decided to embark on the deployment of a network of superchargers.

An announcement that took place at the CES show in Las Vegas, and it is also in the United States that the first terminals will be installed, before an extension of the network in several parts of the world, including Europe.

2,500 chargers in 4 years

Across the Atlantic, Mercedes will partner with MN8 Energy and ChargePoint.

The timing is tight since no less than 2,500 chargers spread over 400 poles will be operational from 2027. Moreover, it will not only be a question of charging stations since it is planned to install toilets and points of sale of food and drinks.

Depending on the region and location, the poles will offer between 4 and 12 chargers with charging power of up to 350 kW.

The network will be open to all brands, but Mercedes customers will benefit from privileged advantages, such as reserving a terminal for example.
