The thirteen-year-old girl got in touch with the man on social media and just a couple of days later he offered her a train ticket and to come and live with him in Vetlanda.
By then he has already written to her about marriage and calls her his princess.
In the police investigation, there are excerpts from their conversation on the messaging service Whats app where he writes: "I will love you as if you were the first and last in the world" [...] and "I want a child from you".
Raped her right away
The investigation also includes messages that show he was aware of her age.
In the first interrogations, the girl says that they are just friends and that nothing sexual has happened between them.
Only days later, however, she says that the man assaulted her immediately after she arrived at the apartment.
- We came home.
He immediately started molesting me.
I said no, no, no.
But it didn't help, she says in questioning.
The girl was reported missing by her sister and via the train ticket the man bought for the girl, the police were able to locate her to the man's apartment in Vetlanda.
The man's brother, who also lived in the apartment, was arrested at the same time, but was later released.
Ran away from home earlier
The girl has previously run away from her family on two occasions.
She fled the war in Ukraine with her father and sister last March.
According to the preliminary investigation, the mother is still in Ukraine.
In questioning, she told how she wanted to start a new life with the man.
Girl: [Man's name] told me to forget everything that happened to me and to step into the new life with him.
Interrogator: What did he mean then?
The girl: That I should forget my whole family and that I should be with him and he should give me a good life.
The man denies the crime and claims, among other things, that he is homosexual and had no interest in the girl.
The prosecutor demands that the man be deported from Sweden and prohibited from returning for ten years.
