The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin ordered to initiate a criminal case against the actor Artur Smolyaninov.
“In an interview with one of the Western publications, Smolyaninov made a number of statements directed against Russia,” the press service of the Investigative Committee explained, without specifying which article the case was opened under.
The other day, speaking about the events in Ukraine, Smolyaninov said that, if necessary, he was ready to go to war on the side of Kyiv.
The artist also said that he does not care if only one region remains from the Russian Federation, and "everything else will turn into radioactive ashes."
These statements caused a great resonance.
So, answering a question from journalists, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that "the Kremlin does not think anything good about this actor."
“But in this case, it is more important what our relevant departments think about these words,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists.
In turn, State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev noted that the words of the actor may fall under a number of criminal articles.
“I believe that what Smolyaninov said falls under Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public calls for the implementation of actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation”) and 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Public calls for the implementation of extremist activities,” Khamzaev told RIA Novosti, commenting on the order Bastrykin.
In turn, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, noted that parliamentarians should discuss what should be the reaction to such actions.
“I am disgusted to see that artists who have earned and continue to earn money in our country allow themselves such statements.
Such an act will never be justified.
This is a sentence for oneself as a citizen, ”said the deputy in an interview with Sputnik.
It should be noted that this is not the first time Smolyaninov has spoken out against the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
At the end of October 2022, the actor was fined 30 thousand rubles under an article about discrediting the Russian army.
As RIA Novosti reported, the reason for the proceedings was the actor's statements during one of the interviews.

The Russian actor, screenwriter and director Ivan Okhlobystin spoke about Smolyaninov's views on events in Ukraine.
In an interview with RT, he said that he does not communicate with those who left Russia and criticize the special operation.
At the same time, according to him, sometimes he allows himself "some remarks in response to remarks" in relation to him.
The current situation, according to Okhlobystin, “canonical since the time of Sholokhov, and maybe even earlier, separates families and friends.”
“My godson, Artur Smolyaninov, considered that it was necessary to speak on the other side.
Some people whom I respected a lot also criticize it from the other side.
I don't have that luxury," he said. "The only option I see for myself is trust in the actions of my country."
In turn, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexei Kravchenko, who starred with Smolyaninov in the film "9th Company", also commented on his anti-Russian statements to RT.
“I hesitate to ask why he is still not in the trenches, then?
It's just that someone has the strength of mind, and someone has a ... darling, ”said Kravchenko.
